Levante Yacht is a small gardiennage and project management company based in Valencia. As we work with a limited number of clients we are able to offer a more personalised service, orientated to their specific needs.
With over thirty years’ experience in every aspect of yacht maintenance we offer a complete range of services. And having been based in Valencia for more than twenty years we know the local marinas, boat yards, and have working relationships with the majority of the local service providers and contractors.
Valencia is the ideal location to base your yacht, whether it be on a long-term basis or just over the winter period when it’s not being used. There are several large marinas, all offering attractive rates, and a number of boat yards where any kind of refit or maintenance work can be carried out, also at a more competitive price and more flexibility in planning and scheduling than in other high demand locations.
Valencia is a friendly accommodating city with a fantastic climate and great transport connections. Not only will your yacht be looked after and maintained to the highest standards, but any time you spend here will be relaxing and enjoyable.
Neil Costar has a long history in the yachting industry, including over thirty years as super yacht captain. Originally from New Zealand where he studied mathematics, he was first employed as a secondary school teacher before moving to Sydney to work in the emergent software industry. Not content with office life, a radical change occurred when circumstances led him to spend a season trolling for salmon in British Columbia, demanding and adventurous work which motivated him to embark on a life at sea. Starting in the Caribbean he quickly found employment in the yachting world, and after a couple of seasons as deck crew, in 1994 he got his first position as captain. A number of yachts and countries later, in 1999 he chose Spain as a base of operations, first Barcelona, and then Valencia, where he has now been based for over twenty years. In 2022 he decided to become shore based and set up Levante Yacht with the aim to provide yacht gardiennage and project management to a select group of clients.
